"Metamorphosis" is a biological term meaning the process of transformation, in other words, signifying change.

This year, we face a great change due to the addition of a new major, Environmental Science. We are at a state of confusion, an "Identity Crisis" of the Society, which is the exact condition during Metamorphosis, a change that we are not sure about the result.

However in symbolism, "Metamorphosis" usually means a positive change and we shall remain optimistic upon facing this new change. Also, what we wish to achieve this year is to change others and also change ourselves in a positive way.

To change others
Like said in our general aim, we wish to arouse people’s interest in nature, and by doing so, promote the need of conservation. We wish to change people’s mindsets bit by bit, raising their awareness to social issues and to urge introspection on how to properly interact with the environment and its wildlife.

These years in University will be a new stage in our lives, and 3 years is such a short period. Thus, we hope to gain as much as we could through being in the executive committee of ELSS 2009-2010, and to change into the better person we wish to become.
